The
size of your facility your situation will dictate how much
labeling needs to be done, and what the priority is. For
example, if you facility has safety issues that need to
be addressed, then a labeling machine might be heavily used
with a very high priority.
The
frequency of use is related to the quantity
of labels that you need to print, but is not the same
thing. For example, you may need to print a high quantity
of labels (greater than 500) daily, but the labels are printed
as a batch once a day--leaving the machine available for
other labeling projects during the rest of the day. On the
other hand, you may not need to print a large quantity of
labels, but various people need to print labels (one at
a time) throughout the day. While the high quantity use
in this example requires only a single machine, the low
volume, large number of users application may require two
(or more) labeling machines be available.
The
priority of the labeling jobs also is a factor. For example,
if a safety problem needs to be addressed, you may not want
to wait while the production department prints a batch of
5000 labels.
